My Euphorbia Milli

Image
I love this plant and its flower so much , My mom had one. I bought this plant online , It is supposed to bear red coloured flowers but has not flowered at all. It probably needs more sunlight. Atleast four to five hours of direct sunlight My balcony doesn't get that much sunlight still waiting that it will soon flower.

My money plant

Image
We had a money plant for a long time and I somehow managed to kill it. So I bought one from  a man selling in a cart . It was very small when I bought it when transferring it into a pot I removed a separate stick with leaves along with the main plant. I planted it in a hanging pot. Unlike my earlier pothos this one has many leaves coming out of a single node. To my surprise the leaves are also different one  has the marble pattern more and the other leaves are mostly green.

My duck foot croton

Image
My duck foot croton had become very lanky and dull. after a lot of thought I pruned it , I completely depleted the plant of the leaves. After a good two weeks it is showing some signs of green.

My ixora plants

Yellow orange double colour Ixora

Loved this colour two tone flower on a beautiful big ixora plant , Took a stem cutting and trying to propagate in water for the first time after several failure to propagate in pots. After one week we can see some dots on the stem starting points for root.

My most favourite plant , it has such lovely colours ,  I bought this from Bengaluru . I saw this while travelling to Bengaluru by road and it was very easy for me to bring it home.

Red Ixora

Image
On the way to our Rice Mill in Ponneri we visited our friend's Mill.  The garden there has the most amazing collection of Ixora plants . The red colour flowers has such a velvety pretty colour.  I have for ever been taking cuttings when I visit there and have been unsuccessfully trying to propagate it. This time the gardener there found a long stem with some roots on it and he happily pulled it out for me. I brought it home cut most of it and have planted it in a pot. Will love to have it flower in my garden, I am hoping that this time the plant will grow and flower.

Propagation station

Image
I live in Chennai and unfortunately my balcony receives direct sunlight only for a few hours a day and if that is not enough . A tree on the opposite side of the road has it branches almost near my balcony not allowing Sunlight to a large section of the balcony.       Here is my propagation station with cutting from a croton plant I just pruned , A money plant and a croton cutting from a huge plant I saw when I was travelling. They all seem to be good so far. Can see small roots starting and this is the first time I am propagating crotons in water so excited to see how it goes.
